Have you ever listened to your favorite artist in an interview speak about situations within the industry and got lost not knowing what they are talking about? Do you ever question why some artists move a certain way within the music industry? On Chemistry Sessions, Mark W. and Chylite take a look behind the lime lights and screaming fans and breakdown seldom spoken on topics as it pretains to the music industry... and they have some fun doing it.

Born on Chicago’s South Side with Buddhist parents promised Chylite’s life was going to be unique from the start. The jazz influence is already deep in Chicago and his mother followed suit blaring soulful artists from The BeeGees to Marvin Gaye. As his family moved around the city of Chicago his love for music grew. Expanding from what he grew up on and neighborhood playlist of juke music, his love for Hip Hop touched each coast. East for there lyrical dexterity. West for grimey gangsta rap. South for the bass mixed with homecooked lyrics. And Midwest's ability to manipulate syllables with wordplay that created rapid fire flows. Between life’s ills like the divorce of his parents followed by his fathers death, he gravitated to the allure of drug money. But no matter how crazy life would get he would always find peace in rap music. As his family continued to relocate he would continue to meet people that would help mold his own ability to manipulate words. Fast forward 10 years and the evolution of what Hip Hop has become allows Chylite to lace some of the most complex orchestration with his unique rapid fire rhyme style. Proving such on numerous projects from his collaboration with 2Toxic on Music Is My Lifestyle to his most recent mixtape 12s Or Better. Chylite is a artist whose unique style and wordplay constantly sets him apart from every other artist. As his motto goes... YOU SEE IT.

The Meticulously Multi-talented Mark W. (Inglewood, Ca) doesn't come by that name lightly! Not only is he talented in front of the microphone (with song writing, music arrangements, and performing) he is also a talented audio engineer, videographer, and graphic designer! Mark W. began his career in music at the age of 17 (with the stage name "ActRight") and put out his first "street album"/mixtape in 2005. While developing his own style of music he would find himself doing so along side his childhood friends. They would go on to form a group called LOST DIALECT. LOST DIALECT gained much local success and later sign to a management company called Hi Def Media. Through Hi Def Media the group put out their debut EP entitled #PrimeDialect. Unfortunately, not long after the release of #PrimeDialect the group would disband, leaving ActRight (Mark W.) to take on a solo career. In 2016 the name "ActRight" was dropped and his government name Mark W. ("W" standing for Whitlock) was embraced through the release of his project "Without Permission". Mark W. blends his laid back style of witty wordplay and smooth melodic delivery to create a vibe seldom heard in today's climate of "Fast Food" hip hop. His message of "say less and do more" is one that is proudly on display in his music and should serve as inspiration to those with the same entrepreneurial spirit!
